School roof replacements are underway in the Westfield Public School District this summer.  Roof projects began the end of June and are in progress at several buildings including Edison Intermediate School (pictured here).

Other schools scheduled for summer roof work include: Franklin, Jefferson, McKinley, Tamaques and Wilson Elementary Schools; Lincoln School; Kehler Stadium, and the Board Administration Building. With school roofs in Westfield averaging 75 years old, a bond to replace aging roofs was approved by voters in December 2012. This summer’s work will mark the completion of the bond roof projects which had included 12 district buildings.

“I continue to be grateful to the Westfield community for providing its support to this important undertaking which safeguards our students and staff and preserves the integrity of our infrastructure,” stated Superintendent of Schools Margaret Dolan.
