Westfield Softball Comes From Behind to Beat Gov. Livingston, 5-4

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – The Westfield varsity softball team scored three runs in the top of the seventh to finish a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Gov. Livingston on Wednesday.

Westfield’s Julia Criscuolo ripped a run-scoring single in the inning and later scored on a Gov. Livingston error to secure the Blue Devils’ sixth win of the season.

Elena Scarano allowed four runs on eight hits over seven innings to earn the victory for Westfield.

For the Highlanders, Alex Foley was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Carolynne Goldbeck added a double and an RBI in the defeat.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday. Gov. Livingston hosts Union, Westfield receives a visit from Summit.
