Westfield Weight Watchers Participates in 5th Annual “Lose for Good” Campaign

WESTFIELD, NJ--Westfield Weight Watchers' “Lose for Good” event on September 15 was an afternoon filled with energy, motivation and inspiration. Members and non-members of Weight Watchers came together to help a worthy cause and to benefit from some great discounts, prizes and demonstrations. The event took place from noon to 3 p.m. and participants were asked to bring a donation of a canned or boxed food to be donated to the Westfield Food Pantry.

The focus of tthat day was on health, fitness and a positive attitude. The open house featured Zumba fitness lessons with Linda Resende, dance lessons by Ballroom Dance of NJ, a Weight Watchers e-tools demo teaching participants how to stay on track of their Weight Watchers plan and staff success stories, where staff shared their personal triumphs and inspired those present to reach their goals.

For sampling were point-friendly morsels catered by Pampered Chefs Nichole Green and Cynthia Green, who made recipes from the Weight Watchers cookbook “I Love Leftovers”; assorted flavors of frozen yogurt from Bohemian Raspberry; and flavored popcorn by the Savory Spice Shop.

Prizes raffled off included a gift basket filled with Weight Watchers goodies, a gift certificate for a haircut, a gift certificate to Bohemian Raspberry, a gift certificate for a pedicure, a basket of Avon products, a pedometer and two tickets to see the Broadway musical “Peter and the Star Catchers”.

The Weight Watchers Lose for Good campaign is in its 5th year and runs from September 2 through October 20. Weight Watchers will donate up to $1 million to fight hunger for every 1 million pounds lost during this campaign period. To learn more about this campaign, visit www.weightwatchers.com/loseforgood.
