Westfield’s “Helmets & Heroes” Car Show and Auction to Benefit Local Charities

September 5, 2012 at 9:31 PM

Westfield, NJ—On September 15 at the Westfield Armory, iBid Auctions and Trinity Solar will present “Helmets & Heroes,” a classic car show and auction and chili cookoff to benefit The Paul Jackson Fund, Friends of Firefighters, Westfield Family Readiness Group and Atlantic Regional Firefighters Burn Foundation.

Included in the price of admission is the chili cookoff, where guests are invited to taste and vote to determine which of the competing firefighters, first responders and local chefs cook up the best homemade chili in Westfield.

“What I’m really looking to do is to put together a true community event. I’m hoping this can be an annual event where we can honor the first responders and the military and give something back to the community,” said Richard Bodmer, CEO of iBid Motors. This will be the second annual “Helmets & Heroes” event. iBid also runs Westfield’s annual spring “Wheels and Wishes” car show and auction to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
