Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad is now beginning our annual fund drive. We are thankful to everyone who generously supported us in 2013 and allowed us to continue providing our vital service. Last year, we responded to nearly 2300 calls for emergency care and members volunteered in excess of 38,000 hours.

During the snow emergencies of January and February, we ensured that there were always a minimum of two full crews available at our building to serve the Town of Westfield.

In 2013 we purchased a new ambulance. Our squad building is over 60 years old and requires much maintenance, including a new roof and gutters. These expenses are in addition to our routine ones such as training and outfitting our volunteers, maintaining our three ambulances, obtaining new state-of-the-art equipment and operating  our centrally located headquarters on Watterson Street from which we offer 24 hour 365 day emergency service.

The Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad is NOT a municipal agency nor is funded by your tax dollars. We depend solely upon your 100% tax deductible donations to help us provide FREE OF CHARGE emergency medical services to our community. And, 100% of your donation goes directly to the squad for operations.

Please help us be there for you as we begin our 64th year of offering all-volunteer no-fee emergency medical service to the Town of Westfield. Your tax deductible donation is a way of ensuring that we are able to continue this essential service. Any amount is appreciated! We depend on you as you depend on us!

Thank you for your donation,

The Officers and Members of the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad

*We are also in need of additional EMTs and Dispatchers. If you have a few hours a week available, stop by and ask how you can help.
