Teachers Develop Curriculum
Summer break also saw teachers in class prepping for the new school year that begins Thursday, Sept. 4. Teachers worked with their supervisors and Assistant Superintendent Mary Oates to develop curriculum that meet new state standards and performance-based standardized assessments. Working in small groups by grade level and subject, the writing also gave teachers the opportunity to have ongoing, meaningful conversations about interesting ideas in their fields, about how children learn, and about ways to improve their classroom practice. What you need to do before the start of school is just a click away
This month you will be receiving important information on the Genesis Parent Access portal. This online system contains information about your child's attendance, schedules, progress, report card grades, and open grade book.
In an email from our technology department, we will review how to log into this system. You’ll be asked to log in to review and update your contact information for emergencies and District messages, and to complete any District forms. Be sure to indicate which contacts should receive our automated alert messages. Please email questions to registrar@livingston.org.

To see final student schedules, the Genesis Parent Portal will open next week for Livingston High School only. The last day to request a schedule change is this Friday, Aug.  8.
Teacher assignments for Grades K-8 and middle school schedules will be available to parents in the Genesis Parent Portal after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20.
