Where to Celebrate July 4 in and Near Westfield

Hoping to catch a free fireworks show nearby? TAP into Westfield found some local displays everyone can enjoy:

The Township of Clark will hold its annual fireworks display on July 4, at Arthur L. Johnson High School field, 365 Westfield Road. Rain date July 5. Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. and include food vendors and a DJ.  Fireworks show to begin at dusk. 

In Cranford, catch a July 4 fireworks display at Nomahegan Park. (Rain date  July 5). The town will have plenty of other family-friendly Independence day events, too. In Nomahegan Park, there will be a Firecracker Four Miler & Fun Run in Nomahegan Park at 9 a.m., bicycle decorating at 1:30 p.m., egg toss at 2 p.m. and a backwards race at 2:30 p.m. Canoe races originally scheduled for 8 a.m. have been cancelled,

In Mountainside, Fireworks begin at dusk July 4 at Deerfield School, 203 Central Ave. Kids get free ice cream. Rain date July 5.

And Plainfield will hold a fireworks display at dusk July 5 at Cedar Brook Park to conclude its 91st Central Jersey July 4th Celebration, which begins at 10 a.m. that day.
