WAYNE, NJ - The first half was all Passaic Tech and the Bulldogs move on in the NJSIAA Tournament, Quarterfinal Round, North Jersey, Section 1, Group 5  after topping Watchung Hills on Friday, 49-15. Watchung Hills ends its season at 5-5. But just last year, the Warriors were 0-10.

 

“We went up against a good team tonight that gave us problems on both sides of the ball,” said WHRHS head coach Rich Seubert. “I’m proud of my team for everything they have done this season.  We never stoped fighting the entire year.  I’m proud of everyone on this team especially all the seniors that brought back football excitement to our community.   I’ll miss every single one of them and look forward to building off of this year.  They have changed the culture by competing and working hard.  Thanks to all the fans that made the trip to cheer us on tonight.”

 

 

Justin Drews caught a touchdown pass from Chad Martini, and Jack Taub hit the end zone on a one-yard touchdown run for the Warriors’ two scores in the second half.

Rahmeir McGraw scored six touchdowns for Passaic Tech.

Passaic Tech will face the winner of the East Orange Montclair game in the second round next week.
