Winter Cheerleaders to End Eight-Year Hiatus

Chatham High cheerleaders at fall competition
CHATHAM, NJ - Chatham High winter cheerleaders are practicing for the upcoming basketball season after receiving final approval from the board of education last week.
Chatham High hasn't had a winter cheerleading squad in eight years.
In the fall, the cheerleaders competed in the LVCCA Cheer Fest and placed second. They also received a Spirit Award. The new squad began practicing last Thursday and are hoping to be ready in time to cheer in early 2014.
There are 10 cheerleaders returning from the fall season to continue cheering for the Cougars this winter. There should be new members added to the group of 10.
