The national Weather Service and most meteorological forecasting services agree that the area will be hit with a winter storm, but the heavy stuff and accumulations will not begin until Thursday night.

Thursday Night: Snow with widespread blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 13. Blustery, with a northeast wind 13 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.
Friday: Snow with widespread blowing snow before 10am, then widespread blowing snow and a slight chance of snow between 10am and 1pm, then widespread blowing snow after 1pm. High near 18. Wind chill values as low as -7. Blustery, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -7. Northwest wind 5 to 13 mph.
