Winter Storm Janus; West Essex Weather for Tuesday, Jan. 21

At 4:52 a.m. Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The warning was issued because of the potential for high snow accumulations and high wind gusts; it will be in effect from 12 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

The forecast calls for 7.2"  Snow should be heaviest between noon Tuesday to 3 a.m. Wednesday.

In addition, temperatures will remain below freezing with very low wind chills for the full week ahead.
