The National Weather Service in New York has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow, which is in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
The advisory is for the Northeast region of New Jersey for hazardous snow conditions. Accumulation is expected between 2 and 4 inches with temperatures in the upper 20s.
Snow will develop Tuesday morning and will continue through the afternoon and will taper off by Tuesday evening.
Snow will develop during the morning commute, accumulating snow will create icy and hazardous travel conditions throughout the day.
Visibility will occasionally be below one-half mile in brief bands of moderate to heavy snow.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility. Use caution while driving.
