WOODLAND PARK, NJ - Charles Olbon Elementary School is running two collection drives this month.

The school is accepting donations on behalf of Angels for Animals, a non-profit no-kill rescue group that finds homes for abandoned animals, until Nov. 20. There will be a box available to place items right inside the main entrance. The school is located at 50 Lincoln Lane.

Angels for Animals is in need of the following items for both cats and dogs: (used items that you may already have are great unless otherwise indicated) clean blankets/towels; pillows; animal beds; cat/dog toys; pet food dishes; paper towels/toilet tissue; bleach/disinfectant supplies; dish soap/sponges; leashes; scratching posts; unopened cat/dog food; unopened treats; pet carriers/cages; unused litter boxes and litter; batteries; office supplies; and heating pads for baby animals.

Charles Olbon School is also collecting non-perishable food until Nov. 20 to help bring families in need a Thanksgiving meal. Food donations can be dropped off in the drop and go cart inside the main entrance door between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The school is located at 50 Lincoln Lane.

Donation suggestions: canned vegetables, canned fruit, Bisquik mix, boxed potatoes, canned gravy, pie crust or pie crust mix, canned cranberry sauce, canned pumpkin pie, evaporated milk, pie crust or pie crust mix, and bagged stuffing.
