WESTFIELD, NJ—Wysteria, a women’s clothing and accessories boutique in Westfield, held its grand opening celebration on Feb. 16. Shoppers enjoyed champagne, food and a chance to meet business partners Trish Gull and Lloyd Rothstein.
Gull is the fashion expert, while Rothstein handles the business side of things, Rothstein explained. “Trish has been in the industry for 30 years. She really knows her stuff,” he said.
Shoppers at Wysteria learn that firsthand, as Gull helps them find the clothes that look and fit best on each of them and teaches them new ways to accessorize.
“She’s got a gift. Not many people can do what she can do,” said Rothstein.
Westfield was a natural choice for Wysteria, which first opened on Dec. 21. “It’s got a nice charm and appeal, and we love the people here,” said Rothstein.
“We really like the town, and I felt there was a need for this kind of a store here,” added Gull.
The boutique carries an array of chic feminine tops, pants, leggings and dresses ranging in size from small to large. (Extra-small and extra-large sizes may be added soon.) Prices for dresses range from about $100 to $150, and tops go for about $50 to $100.
“People come in and say, ‘Your pricing is just great,’” said Rothstein.
Jewelry and accessories including scarves and belts can be found here, as well. Every few days, Gull changes the window display to show off her latest unique combinations of fashionable clothes and accessories. She has a gift for that, too, according to Rothstein.
“People walk by and just stop dead and stare at the window for, like 20 seconds,” he said.
Wysteria is located at 112 Central Avenue in Downtown Westfield. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 908-264-8882.
