NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ -Yankees manager Aaron Boone spread holiday cheer today as he virtually visited patients and their families at the Children's Specialized Hospital on Somerset Street.
Thanks to video technology, Boone was able to spend time with the patients. He wished them happy holidays and fielded questions from young Yankees fans.
Children’s Specialized Hospital is the nation’s leading provider of inpatient and outpatient care for children from birth to 21 years of age facing special health challenges, from chronic illness and complex physical disabilities, like brain and spinal cord injuries, to developmental and behavioral issues, such as autism and mental health.
Boone's visit was accompanied by special gifts to the children from Hess Toy Truck. The toy ambulance and rescue set was selected by Hess Toy Truck this year to honor doctors, nurses and others who have been on the front lines of treating those with COVID-19.
