YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Ten charging stations for Tesla vehicles have been installed behind the Dunkin Donuts in the Staples Plaza shopping center at 3333 Crompond Road. The stations will only be for Tesla vehicles because the equipment is not compatible with other electric vehicles. The stations were approved by the Yorktown Planning Board.

• Domino’s Pizza has opened in the Underhill Plaza at 1871 Commerce St. The storefront was previously occupied by Eda’s Garden.

• Goldfish Swim School, which offers water safety classes for children, has opened at 92 Triangle Center. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Friday.

• Nadine’s Restaurant, which serves German, Austrian, American and French dishes, has opened at 715 Saw Mill River Road. The building was formerly occupied by Jennifer’s Restaurant.

• Thyme Restaurant and Snap Fitness, located in the same building at 3605 Crompond Road, have both permanently closed.

• The Gramercy, a restaurant serving French dishes, is taking over the former Kirby’s Grill and Bar location at 345 Kear St. The restaurant is currently before the Planning Board to seek a special-use permit for outdoor seating.

• Level Fitness, which is taking over the 25,000-square-foot space in Staples Plaza formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond, is expected to open in mid-January.

• The Hill Blvd Diner has opened at 3665 Hill Blvd. The 3,600-square-foot diner was approved last year by the Planning Board.

•  Nolvi’s Deli and Market has opened at 2043 Saw Mill River Road.

• A five-lot subdivision for Lowe’s has been approved by the Yorktown Planning Board. Yorktown Jaz LLC, a subsidiary of Breslin Realty, owns the Crompond Road parcels. The approved plan now features separate lots for a 120,663 square-foot Lowe’s and a 25,448-square-foot garden center; a 7,600-square-foot restaurant; a 4,500-square-foot restaurant; and a 4,000-square-foot bank. Tenants for the three outbuildings have not been announced. The fifth lot was formerly owned by New York State, but was acquired by Yorktown Jaz through auction.

• Last year, neighbors of the Lowe’s, which is currently under construction, said that Breslin Realty reneged on its promise to build sewers for them despite it being part of the original approval. The Planning Board ordered Breslin and the neighbors to come to terms. Though both sides say progress is being made, an agreement has yet to be reached.
