MORRISTOWN, NJ – During Wednesday evening’s virtual Zoning Board meeting, board professionals requested additional time to review documents and plans for the application hearings on the proposed developments and expansions in downtown Morristown.
The Milelli/Morristown LLC application hearing, which calls for a variance relief to construct a twenty-nine unit, four-story addition to an existing one-story structure was carried to the December 16, 2020 meeting.
Also, carried to December 16th was the Speedwell Commons application seeking to convert an existing commercial building to a multi-family residential building containing four units as well as eight parking spaces – two in the front yard, five in an attached garage and one in the rear of the building.
Meanwhile, the 161-163 Madison Avenue LLC and Turtle Road LLC c/o The Silverman Group application hearing has been rescheduled for January 20, 2021. The application seeks to develop a four-story, 45-unit apartment building on 161-63 Madison Avenue that requires a use variance, FAR variance, parking variance and approval of sharing parking arrangement.
There was no action taken at the Zoning Board meeting on any of the applications nor was there a formal hearing. There were only a handful of participants who tuned in to the virtual call.
