Live up! At the JCC anything is possible. Whether your goals are as modest as shooting hoops in a friendly environment or as ambitious as imparting important values to your children, the JCC is the ideal place to live up to those goals. Plus our JCC is a great place to become involved in community, meet up with old friends or connect with new ones. We are committed to our Jewish heritage, identity and values and are also proud to be a non-sectarian and diverse center – open to everyone. There’s something about this place!
Our state-of-the-art fitness center has the latest in strength-training and cardiovascular equipment, as well as spin and group exercise studios with over 40 classes each week. Indoor and outdoor pools are available for fitness or recreation.
The Brody Family Early Learning Center offers infant care, preschool, transitional kindergarten (for children who miss the age cut-off and who may benefit from an extra year before entering kindergarten), full-day kindergarten and kindergarten wrap-around programs. Our comprehensive learning program allows children to flourish as they interact with their physical and social environments.
We also offer After School at the J for grades K – 8. This safe, structured program uses all that the JCC facilities have to offer and includes time for homework and enrichments such as art, swim, sports, yoga and fitness. Students get a healthy snack each day and are supervised by certified teachers and qualified assistant teachers. We maintain high student-to-staff ratios under the guidelines of Children's Services state-licensed programs. Transportation is provided from local area schools.
During the summer, Camp Yachad offers flexible weekday and travel camps for campers 18 months to 14 years. We also have a Performing Arts specialty camp for 2th – 8th graders and a Sports specialty camp for 1st – 4th graders.
For families who have children with special needs, we have a camp shadow program and special needs aquatics classes.
Our Cultural Arts and Education Department offers stimulating classes and programming, including our Jewish Film Festival, a wide variety of authors’ visits and our University Lecture Series. There are also great opportunities to pursue hobbies with our bridge, mah jongg and art classes or our monthly book group. Field trips are available year-round for adults and seniors.
Our Senior Social Program meets Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and provides a wide range of activities and an opportunity for seniors to socialize with new and familiar friends. A well-balanced kosher meal is served each day the program meets.
For youth and teens, we have classes, leadership development and social action programs. We also have competitive swim programs and American Red Cross lifeguard certification classes. Our youth and men’s basketball leagues run in our air-conditioned gymnasium and our men’s softball league is a popular choice in the spring and summer months.
Make the JCC cafe a destination! Have lunch, dinner or just a snack, get some work done, check Facebook or surf the net with free Wi-Fi access. We also have the Wilf outdoor courtyard where you can enjoy the outdoors or host an event.
At the JCC of Central NJ, financial assistance is available for membership, as are various programs for those in need.
