Jen Grana and I have spent the past few months knocking on doors, talking with Sparta residents, and proactively engaging in conversations with residents of all types about our district schools.  Speaking with our community about the importance of Sparta's public schools has been so informative. It has truly given us a more nuanced understanding of how Sparta residents view the district.  People are enthusiastic to share their experiences and thoughts. This has been the most rewarding part of being a board candidate, and I will hold this experience with me always.

In return, residents often ask why we are running and what a vote for us means this year.

  • A vote for us means that all children and families will be listened to with respect and treated equally.  The concerns of the public will be examined and there will be follow through.
  • A vote for us means that you will elect fiscally responsible individuals who understand the massive tax burden on our town’s residents because we live here too. We will be responsible with our tax dollars, while working to ensure resources go where they are most necessary.

I humbly ask for your vote on November 6th.  Vote Matteson, Grana, and Hamilton!
