PERTH AMBOY, NJ-  Middlesex County Freeholder Candidate Rich Castaldo released the following statement with regard to Tuesday’s court ruling that essentially bans 3D-printed firearms nationwide:

“I would like to affirm my support for the ruling Tuesday that bans the printing of 3D-printed firearms.  I will always support the 2nd Amendment and the rights of law-abiding citizens to own and possess firearms.  But 3D-printed weapons are dangerous and obtaining one circumvents the legal and safety safeguards put in place when it comes to obtaining more traditional firearms.

Additionally, easy access to these weapons only means that lethal weapons are more accessible to terrorists, mass shooters and those who want to do harm to others.  Middlesex County and New Jersey is safer without these weapons.”
