LITTLE FALLS, NJ - Winners of the Friends of the Little Falls Public Library's "Design a Bookmark"  contest were recently recognized by the Little Falls Township Council. According to Kristie Puffin, president, the winners all designed their own bookmarks, which will be printed and displayed at the Little Falls Public Library.

"This contest is within our outreach program and it's about getting the community involved with the library," she explained. "Many library patrons ask for volunteer opportunities at the library and while the library may not offer them at times, this group is there to encourage community involvement with the library, as well as financial support."

Puffin added that the contest also includes adults because there are several age categories and all winners receive an honorary certificate.

This year's winners were Chayton Goring, 7, Eden Saeedian, 8, Lauren Defabrizio, 13, and Kristina Variano, 45.

Puffin said all the winning bookmarks will soon be on display at the library.

"We were projecting this at the end of March but due to current circumstances, we will estimate mid-April or when the library will be open to the public again," she added.
