Juanita Toledo-Hall Joins Plainfield Public Schools as Truancy Officer

PLAINFIELD, NJ - Acting Superintendent of Plainfield Public Schools Dr. Debra J. Sheard has announced the hiring of Ms. Juanita Toledo-Hall as Truant Officer for Plainfield Public Schools.

Toledo-Hall will serve as Truant Officer in charge of investigating and counseling students with excessive absences. She will enforce the Code of NJ Attendance law, institute legal proceedings and present information for court cases among other duties.

Toledo-Hall has extensive experience as a student assistance counselor providing evaluation assessments and intervention services. She also has experience counseling students and developing strategies to promote awareness for school personnel in the area of drug and alcohol use and abuse and dependency disorders.

Since 2008, Toledo-Hall was a Union County Youth Service Juvenile/Family/Crisis Intervention Counselor.  She has a B.A. in English and Communications from Kean University, and Masters Studies in Drugs and Alcohol Counseling including certifications (DAC), and Certification for Student Assistance Counseling (SAC), and HIV Counseling.
