Dear Editor

As a former Mayor of Chatham Township, I am writing to support the candidacy of Stacey Ewald and Celeste Fondaco for the Chatham Township Committee. Both are outstanding individuals in their own right and collectively will bring needed cooperative, thoughtful and balanced discipline to the Committee.

In recent years some Committee members have become partisan and combative. There is no room in local governmental business for such behavior. We should instead be defending and promoting honesty, integrity and positive public service.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

Stacey and Celeste have shown their ability to be productive in many different forums. They are results-oriented public servants, not negative, combative politicians.

In the past, letters have been sent out by candidates or other residents, just days before the election with misleading, inaccurate and negative statements. I ask that you disregard anything sent out in such a short timeframe as responding to it is impossible. Let’s keep this election based on a constructive discussion of the issues, not on lies and misinformation.

Join me on Nov 5 in voting for Stacey Ewald and Celeste Fondaco.
