Explore the world of culinary writing at the Thursday Morning Club author’s lunch Saturday, March 10 at 12 p.m. inside the Madison Community House, 25 Cook Ave.
Presented by New Jersey native and food writer Laura Schenone, the next edition of the Wise, Wonderful Women’s program will follow this award-winning author’s journey toward self discovery and her developing passion for all living things. A book signing and discussion will follow.
Tickets cost $35 and are available for online purchase here. Proceeds from the author’s lunch will benefit the Madison Community House, owned and operated by the Thursday Morning Club.
Shenone has written several cuisine-themed nonfiction books, including “A Thousand Years Over A Hot Stove: A History of American Women Told Through Food, Recipes, and Remembrances” and “The Lost Ravioli Recipes of Hoboken.”
Her third and newest book, “The Dogs of Avalon: The Race to Save Animals in Peril” chronicles her personal journey with the adoption of her Irish Sighthound, Lily.
