West Essex Middle School Sixth Grade Orientation on Thursday

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - The West Essex School District (comprised of Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell, Roseland) is inviting parents of sixth grade students to an Orientation Meeting for all those who are considering registering for the 2013-2014 school year. The evening is designed to introduce parents to the academic programs West Essex Middle School offers.

The event will be held on Thursday night at 6pm in the Middle School Auditorium.

The evening’s schedule is as follows:
6pm

  • ADP of Roseland Presentation ‘Stay Safe Online’
    A parent primer on teaching children how to use the internet safely

7pm

  • Middle School Guidance Staff will discuss
    Registration and Course Selection for 2013 – 2014
     
  • Ms. Susan Sherman, Middle School Student Store Advisor, will be selling West Essex Middle School apparel
      
  • David Montgomery and Instructional Supervisors will discuss:
    Heterogeneous Grouping
    Accelerated and Supported Class Placement Criterion
    Increased Rigor and Expectations of Middle School
     
  • A Question and Answer period will follow

In case of inclement weather, a snow date is planned for Thursday, Jan. 31.
