On October 14, 2019 at 1:25 p.m., Ptl. Christopher Heck investigated a motor vehicle crash on Rugby Road. The investigation revealed that one of the drivers, a 24-year-old male from Elizabeth, had a suspended license. He was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On October 14, 2019 at 2:47 p.m., Ptl. Jason Rivers stopped a vehicle that did not have an inspection decal displayed in the windshield. It was determined that the driver, a 43-year-old male from Orange, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The driver initially provided false information to avoid being arrested and his license suspension was for a prior DWI offense. He was arrested and charged with driving during a license suspension for DWI. He was released with a summons to appear in Superior Court.

On October 17, 2019 at 9:35 a.m., Ptl. Joseph Johnson stopped a vehicle that did not have an inspection sticker displayed in the windshield. It was determined that the operator, a 49-year-old female from Orange, was driving with a suspended license. She was arrested, processed, and released with a summons to appear in municipal court.

On October 18, 2019 at 10:15 p.m., Ptl. Michael Passafiume responded to the area of Rt. 23 and Grove Avenue on a report of a possible drunk driver. He located and stopped a vehicle matching the description provided by the reporting party. The vehicle was being operated with a flat tire at the time of the stop. The driver, a 45-year-old male from Newark, was arrested after it was determined that he was driving while intoxicated. His vehicle was impounded, and he was released with a summons to appear in municipal court.
