At approximately 11:15 am on June 8th, 2019, Officer Kyle Czerniak arrested Thomas Figurelli, age 58, from West Orange, New Jersey and charged him with possession of less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana. The officer observed Mr. Figurelli using a cellular phone while driving and initiated a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with Figurelli, Officer Czerniak detected the odor of marijuana. Mr. Figurelli was questioned and admitted to possessing the contraband. He was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing. In addition to the above charge, Mr. Figurelli was issued a traffic summons for using a cellular phone while driving and released pending a court appearance.

  • At approximately 9:55 pm on June 10th, 2019, Officer Kyle Beasley arrested Julius Conaway, age 32, from East Orange, New Jersey on multiple active contempt of court warrants issued by several municipalities. Officer Beasley observed the vehicle driven by Mr. Conaway commit a red-light infraction and initiated a motor vehicle stop. A customary check indicated that his driver’s license was suspended along with numerous warrants. Mr. Conaway was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for processing. The municipal courts were contacted and released Mr. Conaway on his own recognizance pending a court appearance. He was issued traffic summonses for driving while suspended and for a seatbelt violation. Mr. Conaway was issued a written warning for the red-light infraction.
