06/13/2019 7:52 pm Wanted Person: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 27th Street and arrested the operator, Falon Page, age 33 of Teaneck, after an arrest warrant was located out of Fair Lawn for $197. She was released after bail was posted.
06/14/2019 2:53 am Narcotics: P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at 34th Street and arrested the operator, Cameron Brown, age 23 of Teaneck, after he discovered a vape pen with suspected marijuana oil inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia & motor vehicle lamps required at night.
06/14/2019 2:14 am Driving While Intoxicated: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on River Road at Range Road and arrested the operator, Luis Henriquez-Cortez, age 21 of Prospect Park, after he failed a roadside sobriety test. He was released to a responsible adult after being charged with motor vehicle lamps required at night, use of hand-held device during operation, careless driving & driving while intoxicated.
06/15/2019 12:12 am Narcotics: P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Lyncrest Avenue and arrested the operator, Steve Francisco, age 25 of Paterson, after marijuana was located inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance & careless driving.
06/18/2019 Burglary: On 5-16-19 at 9:30pm, Fair Lawn Police responded to CVS, 29-00 Broadway, on a report of a burglary in progress. The initial investigation showed 2 males that had entered the secured pharmacy before fleeing the business. 3 bottles of ranitidine syrup, valued at $633, had been taken.
Det. Brian Rypkema took over the investigation and had learned that one of the two males, Dreckson Ruiz, age 22 of East Orange, had been stopped as a suspicious person while inside a CVS in Clifton later that day while wearing the same clothing. Ruiz was arrested and charged with burglary & theft, then released. The second male has not been identified.
Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
