Feb. 27 - 10:33 pm Narcotics: P.O. Geovanny Buitron initiated a motor vehicle stop on Maple Avenue and arrested the passenger, Mark Dignardi Jr, age 37 of Sparrowbush, NY, after heroin was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 28 - 9:09 pm Wanted Person: P.O. John Rovetto initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Lyncrest Avenue and arrested the operator, Kavon Graham, age 22 of Paterson, after arrest warrants were located out of Paterson ($1,000), Bloomingdale ($250) and Paramus ($149). He was released after bail was posted.

Feb. 28 - 11:01 pm Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Cyril Avenue and arrested a passenger, Ronald Brooks, age 27 of Englewood, after marijuana was discovered in his possession. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and failure to wear a seatbelt.

March 1 - Burglary: On 2/14, Fair Lawn Police responded to a residence on 34th Street after the victim reported that a vehicle in his driveway had been entered overnight and had been recorded by their Ring doorbell. $5 in change and an umbrella had been taken from the vehicle.

March 1 - Det. Brian Rypkema & Det. Anthony Lugo were assigned to pick up a prisoner from Paterson Police who had an arrest warrant out of Fair Lawn and transport the party to Bergen County Jail. When they were handed Andre Waterman, age 29 of Closter, they realized that he fit the description of the burglary suspect from 2/14. He was charged with burglary and theft, then transported to Bergen County Jail.

March 5 - 11:50 am Shoplifting: P.O. Tiller Uriarte & P.O. Robert Belbol responded to Shoprite, 17-17 River Road, and arrested Javonnia Maxey, age 18 of Paterson, after she was detained by store loss prevention with concealed, unpaid items totaling $41.02. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

March 7 - 11:40 pm Narcotics: P.O. Justin DiGuglielmo initiated a motor vehicle stop on Broadway at Tunbridge Road and arrested the operator, Marquise Samuels, age 20 of Paterson, after marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. He was released after being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

March 8 - 12:25 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Brad Pindyck, P.O. Robert Manning & P.O. Chris Sullivan responded to the area of CVS, 29-00 Broadway, on a report of a shoplifter who left the store and arrested Hamza Alharizah, age 31 of Dover, after he was located on Broadway at Plaza Road with concealed, unpaid items. He was released after being charged with shoplifting.

March 8 - Forgery: On 1-21-19, a victim from Fair Lawn responded to police headquarters to report that a personal check for $3,420.20 that had been mailed at the Radburn Post Office on Abbott Road had not reached its recipient and had instead been deposited into someone else׳s account for $3,000. Det. Brian Rypkema took over the investigation and arrested Emelin Santana, age 30 of Paterson, after she turned herself in. She was released after being charged with theft by deception and forgery.

March 11 - 12:52 pm Shoplifting: P.O. Timothy Ammann & Sgt. Nicholas Snyder responded to CVS, 18-35 River Road, on a report of a shoplifter and arrested Kayla Martinez, age 20 of Paterson, after unpaid items were found concealed on her person. She was released after being charged with shoplifting.

Chief Glen Cauwels stated all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
