During the period between August 19 and August 25, 2019 members of the GRPD handled 289 calls for service, the highlights of which included:

08-19-2019 - 1:03 PM – A Serafin Place resident reported the theft of his son’s bicycle valued at $224. The bicycle had been stored under the complainant’s rear deck and was not visible from the street. The theft was reported to have occurred sometime over the previous 24 hours.  

08-19-2019 - 6:56 PM – A Concord Avenue resident reported that property including tools, beer and golf clubs had been stolen from their unlocked garage. They also discovered that loose change had been taken from their unlocked vehicles parked in their driveway. This reportedly occurred at an unknown time over a five-day period. The estimated value of the property is reported as $3,947.59.  There are no known witnesses. 

08-22-2019 - 4:05 PM – During the course of investigating a motor vehicle accident on Lincoln Avenue and Diamond Bridge, P.O. Nick Onove arrested a 27-year-old Sloatsburg NY man for DWI.  The man was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to the custody of a sober adult in accordance with John’s Law. His vehicle was also impounded, and he was issued additional motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and driving with a suspended license.
