During the period between July 6 to July 12, 2020 members of the GRPD handled 365 calls for service, the highlights of which included:
07-06-2020 - 3:30 AM – A vehicle stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 300 block of Harristown Road on July 3rd was recovered by the Paterson Police Department. The vehicle had been recovered following a motor vehicle accident which Paterson PD had investigated on North First Street. The Detective Bureau is continuing the investigation and has recovered evidence that the vehicle had been used during the commission of other crimes.
07-07-2020 - 1:40 PM – Following a month-long investigation into a June 8th shoplifting which occurred at Super Fresh on Lincoln Avenue, D/Sgt. Jim Calaski and Det. Lucas Doney located and arrested a 32-year-old Wanaque man on Straight Street and Broadway in Paterson. The actor was transported to Glen Rock Police HQ where he was processed and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance before Central Judicial Processing at the Superior Court in Hackensack.
07-07-2020 - 8:32 PM – A resident on the 100 block of Greenway Road reported the theft of a bicycle valued at $160. The resident’s son had placed the bicycle in the garage around 6 PM but did not close the garage door. Upon their return at 8:30 PM the bicycle was missing. The bicycle was described as a grey and red Schwinn, however no serial number could be provided. The investigating officer is working to locate any video surveillance cameras in the area.
