Incident Title: Possession of Heroin

Suspect information: David Gurecki 49 y/o male from Hewitt, NJ

Vehicle information: 2011 Honda Civic (silver)

Description of incident: Officers observed the above vehicle in the 7-eleven with the driver slumped over the wheel.  Officers woke up the driver, who stated he was just coming from the Home Depot. Officers had the party step out of the vehicle.  When the driver stepped out, officers observed what appeared to be part of a glassine envelope on the front passenger seat. A consent to search was obtained from the driver and upon searching, officers located 2 glassine envelopes of heroin in a coffee cup and 1 full bundle of heroin in a coin holder in the front of the car.  Also found was a pen tube, used to inhale CDS. The party was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. The party was released pending a CJP court date.

Incident Title: MV stop possession of Marijuana.  

Suspect information: Luke Thurchak 21 y/o male from Waldwick, NJ

Vehicle information: 2010 Hyundai Elantra (silver)

Description of incident: Above vehicle pulled over on Wagaraw Road near May Street for MV violations.  The officer smelled marijuana while speaking with the driver. Officers advised the driver that they would be searching the vehicle, to which the driver stated that there might be marijuana in his hat in the center console.   The marijuana was located and the driver was arrested. The party was charged with Possession of Marijuana and released pending a court date.

Incident Title: DWI / MVA

Suspect information:  Arcenia Mendez 45 y/o female from Elizabeth, NJ

Vehicle information: 2005 Dodge Durango (black)

Description of incident: Officers were detailed to 344 Wagaraw Road (ZR Performance Cycles) for a report of an MVA into a building.  Officers arrived and located above vehicle crashed into the building. The above driver appeared to stagger while speaking with officers.  Officers asked if she was drinking, to which she stated she had a few shots and beers. The female failed to the field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.  The female refused to cooperate for the submission of breath testing, repeatedly stating that she wanted her lawyer. The female was charged with DWI and refusal as well as other various MV violations.
