A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite these accusations, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Incident Title: MV stop – possession of marijuana
Suspect information: Eric Hernandez 31 y/o male from Garfield, NJ
Vehicle information: 1998 Nissan Sentra 4 door, red
Description of incident: Above party stopped on Wagaraw Road for various MV violations. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noted a vape sitting on the lap of the driver. The officer asked about the vape cartridge and what kind of oil was inside of it, however, the driver repeatedly stated “I don’t know” regarding its usage and oil. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vape cartridge was a THC cartridge. A further search of the vehicle produced more THC cartridges and other drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and charged with possession of THC cartridges and drug paraphernalia. After processing, he was released pending court dates.

Incident Title: MV stop – possession of marijuana and false info to police
Suspect information: Alaysia Arroyo 21 y/o female from Hawthorne
Vehicle information: 2017 Honda Civic 4 door, white
Description of incident: Officers pulled the above vehicle over on Lafayette Avenue, near South Ave. While speaking with the driver, the officer noted a smell of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The officer asked the driver her name and date of birth, to which the driver stated Trinidy Arroyo. Upon running the name for a driver’s license, the picture did not match the actual driver. Upon asking the driver to step out of the vehicle, a bag of marijuana was observed in the door. Upon showing a picture of the suspects sister to the driver, the driver stated "that's Trinidy...I mean... that's me". The driver then admitted that she was using her sister’s name, and that she had a warrant out of Passaic PD. The driver was arrested and charged with:

- Failure to use lights - 39:3-47a - E19-001731
- Driving while suspended - 39:3-40 - E19-001732
- No DL in possession - 39:3-29 - E19-001733
- Possession of CDS in a MV - 39:4-49.1 - E19-001734
The suspect was able to come up with $750 cash bail for the Passaic Warrant and was released pending a court date for the Hawthorne Charges.
