On August 11, 2020 police were called to 52 North 20th St. on a report of an intoxicated guest who would not leave the property.  Police attempted to have Nicole Kangus of Linden leave on her own accord, but she refused to cooperate with the police.  At that point Det. Ryan Kernan and Sgt. Bob Cox placed Kangus under arrest for trespassing and served her with a disorderly persons summons.

Det. Ryan Kernan responded to a residence on Lincoln Drive where the resident reported that there was an intruder in his home. Upon arrival Det. Kernan arrested the suspect Raul Geronimo-Vasquez of Elizabeth for trespassing. It appears that the subject was intoxicated and no threats or injuries were reported by the victim. Geronimo-Vasquez was later released with a summons and a scheduled municipal court appearance.

08/14/2020 8:54 a.m.

While on patrol in the parking lot of 801 Boulevard where the ACME supermarket is located Ptl. Ray Fuschino observed a known habitual shoplifter entering the store.  The subject was William Minitee of Irvington who has been told by store management he is prohibited from the property.  Minitee was charged with trespassing on a disorderly persons summons.  It was later determined that he was dropped off at the location by Antwann Terry of Newark who was found to be a wanted person out of The Essex County Sheriff’s Office.  Terry was arrested and transferred to that agency later in the afternoon.

Ptl. Leo Filipe and Ptl. Brett Byron responded to a motor vehicle crash in front of 281 Boulevard in Kenilworth. At the scene, police discovered the driver Conor Gillespie of Roselle Park laying on a resident’s driveway. At that point in the investigation, police suspected the driver of being under the influence of alcohol. Gillespie was treated at the scene by Kenilworth First Aid personnel and transported to Overlook Hospital. Det. Sean Kaverick later obtained a search warrant for the arrestee’s blood draw which was executed at the hospital. Gillespie was charged with Wreckless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated on a traffic summons.

Ptl. Travis Dilts arrested Nicole Plafker of Trenton after encountering the subject in a parked motor vehicle in the parking lot of ACME supermarket.  She was found to have multiple warrants from Westfield, Robbinsville, Princeton, and Titusville.
