06/01 - At 1901 hours a report was taken for an attempted burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Woodland Avenue residence. The victim reported to have witnessed a black male, wearing an orange shirt enter the vehicle. Upon confrontation by the resident, the individual vacated the area in a white Mercedes SUV. At the time of the report, nothing appeared to have been stolen from the victim’s vehicle. 

06/04 - At 0551 hours a report was taken for an attempted burglary to a motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Shadyside Avenue residence. The victim reported to have witnessed a black male in a green/white hooded sweatshirt exit a black BMW sedan and attempt to gain entry to the victim’s vehicle. The individual was startled when the victim interrupted the attempt and proceeded to flee in the vehicle towards Beechwood Road. 

06/05 - At 0320 hours a report was taken for a theft of a motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Springfield Avenue residence. The victim reported to have last seen the vehicle, a white 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, at approximately 0230 hours and then noticed it missing at approximately 0312 hours. At the time off the theft, the value of the vehicle was not known.

06/05 - At 0354 hours a report was taken for a burglary to an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Briant Parkway residence. At the time of the report, the victim stated it appeared nothing of value to have been missing. 

06/05 - At 0946 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Springfield Avenue residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 2300 hours on 06/04 and 0820 hours on 06/05. Taken from the unsecured vehicle were one (1) black iPhone 6S and one (1) black bi-fold wallet containing several forms of identification and credit cards. At the time of the theft, the total value of the stolen items was approximately $330.00. 

06/05 - At 1430 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Blackburn Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 05/31 and 1300 hours on 06/05. Taken from the unsecured vehicle were one (1) gray sweatshirt and one (1) navy t-shirt. The total value of the stolen items was approximately $75.00 at the time of the report. 

06/05 - At 1444 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Prospect Street residence. The victim advised the theft occurred sometime in the overnight hours of 06/04 into 06/05. Taken from the vehicle were one (1) blue purse that contained several credit cards and a house key. 

06/05 - At 1546 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Mountain Avenue residence. The victim reported the incident occurred sometime in the overnight hours of 06/04 into 06/05. Taken from the vehicle were one (1) multi-purpose Leatherman tool, valued at approximately $50.00. 

06/05 - At 1906 hours a report was taken for a theft of three (3) bicycles from a Mountain Avenue residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 2200 hours on 06/04 and 1100 hours on 06/05. Taken from the rear yard were one (1) black/blue mountain bike, one (1) green/black mountain bike, and one (1) black beach cruiser. The total value of the stolen bicycles at the time of the report was approximately $900.00. 

06/06 - At 0158 hours a report was taken for a motor vehicle theft in progress at an Oak Ridge Avenue residence. Taken from the driveway was an unsecured, black Audi Q7 with the key fob inside the vehicle. At the time of the theft, the value of the vehicle was estimated to be approximately $50,875.00. 

06/06 - At 1041 hours a report was taken for an attempted burglary to a motor vehicle and a theft of packages from a Maple Street residence. The victim reported the incident occurred on 06/05 at approximately 0200 hours when three (3) individuals could be seen on security footage attempting to gain entry to the two (2) secured vehicles, parked in the driveway to the home. The individuals then proceeded to take from the front steps of the residence two (2) Amazon packages. The packages contained one (1) toilet stopper and one (1) Etch-A- Sketch. The total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $26.00. 

06/09 - At 1958 hours a report as taken for a theft of a laptop from a residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1530 hours and 1600 hours on 06/07 when the laptop, described as a black Samsung Chromebook, was left on the front porch to the Walnut Street residence. At the time of the theft, the victim reported the computer to be valued at approximately $299.00. 

06/10 - At 1340 hours a report was taken for a theft of a laptop from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Springfield Avenue residence. The victim believed the incident occurred on 06/04, unknown time window. Taken from the unsecured vehicle was one (1) older model MacBook which was no longer functioning. At the time of the report, the value of the laptop was approximately $100.00. 

06/15 - At 0809 hours a report was taken for a theft of an unsecured motor vehicle, with the key fob inside, parked in the driveway to a Parkview Terrace residence. The incident occurred between 2230 hours on 06/14 and 0030 hours on 06/15. Taken from the driveway was a 2020 black Audi Q5. Inside off the vehicle was one (1) pink Neiman Marcus women’s wallet containing personal identification and credit cards and one (1) UppaBaby car set. The total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $55,350.00. 

06/20 - At 1051 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in a lot to a business on Beauvoir Avenue. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1000 hours on 06/19 and 1045 hours on 06/20. Taken from the vehicle was one (1) brown bi-fold wallet containing several credit cards, forms of identification and approximately $100.00 cash. At the time of the theft, the total value of the stolen property was approximately $170.00. 

06/20 - At 1206 hours a report was taken for a stolen bicycle from the rear of a Springfield Avenue business. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1120 hours and 1150 hours on this date. Taken was one (1) black Trek Hybrid bicycle with a small black cargo bag under the seat. At the time of the report, the bicycle was valued at approximately $1,000.00. 

06/25 - At 1152 hours a report was taken for a theft of an unsecured motor vehicle, with the key fob inside, from the driveway of an Oak Ridge Avenue residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 2000 hours on 06/24 and 1130 hours on 06/25. Taken from the driveway was a 2015 blue Land Rover Range Rover. At the time of the report, the vehicle was estimated to be worth approximately $50,000.00. 

06/26 - At 0730 hours a report was taken for a theft of an unsecured motor vehicle with the key fob inside from a Midland Terrace driveway. The incident occurred at approximately 0126 hours on 06/26 when the 2018 white BMW X3 was removed from the driveway of the residence. At the time of the theft, the vehicle was valued at approximately $35,000.00. 

06/26 - Michel Helal, 21, of Kearny was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, and use of paraphernalia. Mr. Helal was processed and released with a pending court date. 

06/30 - Joseph Piscioneri, 55, of Summit was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Mr. Piscioneri was processed and released with a pending court date. 

07/01 - Elaine F. Daddezio, 54, of New Providence was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Ms. Daddezio was processed and released with a pending court date. 

07/02 - At 0951 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from Franklin School between 1230 hours on 07/01 and 0915 hours on 07/02. Taken was a silver Huffy mountain bike. At the time of the report, the value of the bicycle was approximately $200.00.
