8/14 - Rachel E. Cox, 24, of North Plainfield was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Ms. Cox was processed and subsequently released.
8/19 - At 0734 hours a report was taken for a theft of tools from a business on Middle Avenue. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1200 hours on 8/17 and 0700 hours on 8/19. Taken from several vehicles parked at the business were one (1) MScope, one (1) metal detector, one (1) Milwaukee flashlight with charger, one (1) Panasonic Toughbook CF-20, one (1) Honda generator, and one (1) Samsung microwave. The total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $5,550.00.
8/21 - Dylan C. Matus, 20, of Maywood was arrested and charged with manufacturing/distributing/dispensing, possession of CDS, and possession of marijuana. Mr. Matus was processed and released with a pending court date.
8/21 - At 1703 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reported the incident occurred on 8/20 between 1800 hours and 0415 hours on 8/21. Taken from the rear of the residence was an unsecured, black/white men’s Giant Sedona bicycle. The value of the bicycle at the time of the report was approximately $350.00.
8/21 - At 1829 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from the train station. The victim stated the incident occurred on the same date when the bicycle had been left on the bicycle rack in the morning, and the victim returned in the evening. The stolen bicycle was described as a small green Flourish 4, with a Hilltop Bicycle sticker on the frame. In place of the stolen bicycle was a green Schwinn Transit bicycle, with the victim’s bicycle lock on the bike, secured to the rack and the victims helmet. The bicycle lock was not damaged. At the time of the report, the Flourish 4 bicycle was valued at approximately $390.00.
8/22 - At 1000 hours a report was taken for a theft of a wallet. The incident occurred on 8/15 between 1200 hours and 1300 hours at business on Summit Avenue. The victim stated the white Michael Kors wallet had been removed from a purse while in the business. The wallet contained several credit cards, a driver’s license and approximately $40.00 in cash. At the time of the theft, the total value of stolen items was approximately $90.00.
8/22 - At 2115 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle. The witness reported seeing an individual attempting to remove an unsecured bicycle from Union Place, when confronted, the subject took off towards Beechwood Road. The witness stated the subject then removed a second unsecured bicycle and rode off on it towards Summit Avenue. At the time of the report, the witness was unable to provide a description of the stolen bicycle. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 55-60 years old with gray hair. The suspect was wearing a Mets t-shirt and light-colored jeans. 8/25 - At 1630 hours a report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from a Springfield Avenue business. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1000 hours and 1630 hours. The victim advised that the bicycle had been left unsecured and was described as a red/black men’s bicycle. At the time of the theft, the bicycle was valued at approximately $120.00.
8/26 - At 1351 hours a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle parked in the driveway to a Colonial Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 1800 hours on 8/25 and 1230 hours on 8/26. Taken from the vehicle was approximately $6.00 in quarters.
