Officer Natale arrested Zachary Connelly, 29, of Westfield, for Driving Under the Influence pursuant to a motor vehicle stop on the 800 block of Mountain Avenue. He was processed and released with a motor vehicle summons with a pending court date.

9/29/2020 at 2:24 a.m. — Marijuana

Officers Riga and Picciano arrested Elijah Lott, of Scotch Plains, and Omari Shomari, of Newark, for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 grams, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of West Dudley Avenue and Clark Street. Lott and Shomari were both transported to Westfield Police Headquarters where they were processed and issued a Complaint-Summons with a mandatory Westfield Municipal Court date.

9/29/2020 at 10:41 a.m. — Fraud

A resident of the 600 block of Hillcrest reported a fraud committed via an online purchase, utilizing a credit card account. The victim reports a fraudulent purchase in the amount of $2,883. The victim contacted her financial institution, who advised them of other fraudulent attempts. The victim did not suffer a financial loss.

9/29/2020 at 12:18 p.m. — Theft

A resident of the 400 block of North Chestnut Street reports that a campaign sign was stolen from the front of their property. The victim stated that the sign is valued at $15. The theft of the sign occurred between Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. and Sept. 29 at noon.

9/29/2020 at 1:55 p.m. — Theft

A resident of 400 block of Topping Hill reported a theft of a delivered package. The package was to be delivered on Aug. 16 however, the victim reports that they never received the package. The amount of the contents of the package is valued at $212. There are no suspects at this time.

9/30/2020 at 08:34 a.m. — Theft

A resident of the 1600 block of Boulevard reported they were a victim of a theft from their residence. The victim stated that the time frame of the theft was over three months. The victim stated she does not know who stole items. The victim stated jewelry was stolen from their residence. The victim could not provide a complete value for the jewelry stolen.

10/1/2020 at 4:31 p.m. — Burglary, Theft

A resident of the 700 block of Saint Marks Avenue reported a burglary to a detached garage and a theft of a bicycle. The bicycle was reported to be last seen on Sept. 26, at approximately 10 p.m. Unknown person (s) entered and unsecured detached garage and stole a Surface 604 Shred electric bicycle, Matte black in color with white and red accents.

The bicycle is further described as having a color display screen affixed to the handlebars, a LED headlight, hydraulic brakes and extra wide tires with white lettering. The approximate value of the stolen bicycle was approximately $2,300. The victim reported that a bicycle lock was also stolen. The approximate value of the lock is approximately $30.

10/1/2020 at 7 p.m. — Drugs

Officers Carrero and DiBella arrested Nicole Catalano, 20, of Scotch Plains, for Possession of False Government ID, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid and Possession of CDS under 50 grams. Eden Coetzee was also arrested for Possession of False Government ID. Officers made both arrests pursuant to a pedestrian stop in Mindowaskin Park. Subjects were processed and released with a summons.

10/2/2020 at 4:25 p.m. — Theft

A resident of the 500 block of Clark Street was reported to be a victim of a theft. Unknown person (s) entered onto the resident's property and removed a political sign from the front of the residence and fled the scene. The sign was described as a Biden political lawn sign, approximately 18" by 12" with a blue-colored background and white-colored lettering. The sign has an approximate value of $25.
