Officers arrested Nikita Hermans, 20, of Orange, for possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Springfield Avenue, police said. Officers took her to police headquarters where she was processed and released on a summons with a municipal court date of Feb. 26, police said.

Officers arrested Christopher Dutan, 26, of Elizabeth, for DWI following an accident investigation in the 300 block of East South Avenue, police said. He was processed and released to a responsible adult, pending a court date, police said.

Feb. 17 at 5 p.m.

A resident in the 800 block of Forest Avenue reported the theft of a license plate from the rear of their vehicle, police said.

Officers arrested Yazan M. Tarkhan, of Clifton, on two outstanding warrants, police said. The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue near Jersey Avenue, police said. He was transported to police headquarters and released with court dates to be set, police said.

Feb. 19 at 8:20 p.m.

Officers arrested Edwardo Barcenas III, 20, of Rahway, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, and Ashton Barthelus, 23, of Union, on an outstanding warrant out of the Rahway Municipal Court, police said. Their arrests were pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the area of East South Avenue and Sussex Street, police said. Both were transported to police headquarters. Barcenas was released on a summons and Barthelus was released after posting bail, police said.

Feb. 20 at 12:04 a.m.

Officers arrested Heather M. Kilkenny, 20, of Brick, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Officers had stopped her while she was driving in the area of Central Avenue near Vernon Street, police said. She was transported to police headquarters and later released with a summons, police said.

Feb. 21 at 5:08 a.m.

A resident in the 600 block of Tremont Avenue told police that unknown persons entered an unlocked motor vehicle, police said. Nothing was reported missing, police said.

A resident in the 200 block of Baker Avenue reported that an unknown person entered an unsecured vehicle parked in a driveway, police said. It does not appear that anything was taken, police said.

Feb. 21 at 9:55 a.m.

A resident from the 800 Block of Kimball Avenue in Westfield reported that an unknown person gained entry into two unsecured vehicles that were parked in the driveway of their residence, police said. The victim told police that unknown persons took a credit card from one of the motor vehicles, police said.
