A resident of Harrow Road reported they were the victim of identity theft, police said. The victim stated that unknown person (s) used his personal information to open a line of credit without their authorization then made purchases at a store, police said. The victim suffered no monetary loss, according to police.

Joseph R. Parker, 48, of Edison, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,102 out of the Westfield Municipal Court pursuant to a pickup at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, police said. He was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held in lieu of bail, police said.

July 2 at 11:35 p.m.

Officers arrested Pedro Aponte, 23, of Port Reading, located in Middlesex County, at the Hunterdon City Jail on an outstanding warrant out of Westfield, police said. His warrant was in the amount of $1,000, police said. He was processed and placed in a cell awaiting a court appearance, police said.

July 3 at 7 p.m.

A business out of Newark reported the theft of a robotic lawn mower occurred in the 100 block of Hardwick Avenue in Westfield on June 15, police said. The lawn mower is valued at $2,300, police said.

July 4 at 3:05 a.m.

Officers arrested Zhaire Mary, 21, and Terell Plantz, 20, both of Elizabeth, for receiving stolen property and possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance, police said. The arrest was made pursuant to an investigation in 500 block of East Broad Street. Both Mary and Plantz were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released a summons awaiting their Superior Court appearance, police said.

July 4 at 8:12 p.m.

Officers arrested Ezequiel Cordero, 38, of Newark for an outstanding criminal warrant out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office pursuant to an investigation in the area of Springfield Avene near Mill Lane in Westfield, police said. He was transported to Westfield Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held in lieu of bail, police said.
