Officers arrested Elijah Aji, 22, of Irvington, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of prescription pills without a prescription, police said. The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop, police said. He was processed at police headquarters and released on a summons, police said.

Officers arrested James Burns, 38, of East Brunswick, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of prescription pills. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on a summons, police said.

A man told police that a 2004 Ford 250 white in color was stolen from his business in the 1200 block of South Avenue. The theft occurred at about 11:53 p.m. Nov. 11, police said. The vehicle was locked at the time it was stolen, police said.

Officers arrested Guan Williams, 27, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, police said. The officers arrested him following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central Avenue and Grove Street, police said. Officers transported him to police headquarters, processed and released him on a summons, police said.

Officers arrested John Eakrotf, 51, of Plainfield, for drunken driving after he crashed his vehicle, police said. He was taken to police headquarters, processed and released to a sober adult, police said.

A resident of Cacciola Place reported a burglary to their detached garage in which a snow blower valued at about $400 was stolen. The theft is believed to have within one day of the above date, police said.

Officers arrested Kevin Miller, 20, of Hillside, for possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance, police said. He was arrested following a motor vehicle stop in the area of East Broad Street and Stanley Oval, police said. Officers transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and released on a summons, police said.

A resident in the 800 block of Wallberg Avenue reports that his unsecured vehicle was stolen from his driveway between 6 p.m. and 9:27 p.m. on Nov. 20, police said. The vehicle is valued at about $30,000, police said.

A resident in the 200 block of Canterbury Road reports that an unknown person or persons attempted to enter two secured vehicles in his driveway, police said. The persons were not able to enter the vehicles and fled on foot, police said.

A resident in the 200 block of Canterbury Road reports that two unknown men entered her vehicle and then fled on foot. She told police that her vehicle was unlocked and parked in her driveway, police said. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle, according to police.

Nov. 20 at 8:30 p.m.

A resident in the 800 block of Wallberg Avenue reports that her vehicle, which was unlocked in her driveway, was burglarized and ransacked, police said. The thief stole a $75 camouflage vape pen, police said.

Nov. 21 at 7 p.m.

Officers arrested Karen Castro, 32, of Westfield, for possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Officers processed and released her with a summons, police said.

Officers arrested Art Brounlee, 19, of Union, for shoplifting from a business in the 600 block of North Avenue West, police said. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released with a summons, police said.
