The Chatham High School Marching Band season begins this Saturday, September 14 at Cougar Field as they premiere their 2019 halftime show ‘Through the Ages’.

The band, under the direction of Brian Conti, has spent countless hours learning and preparing the new show, which is packed with exciting music, exhilarating guard work, and more visual work than ever before. ‘Through the Ages’ takes viewers on a journey through time; opening in the Ice Age, melting into the Dark Ages with music inspired by the earliest development of written music, transforming into the Age of Enlightenment with inspiration from classical composer Johann
Sebastian Bach, and leaving the audience with a glimpse into the possible musical and technical developments of the Future.

Brand new rifle work from the Color Guard and intricate visuals top off a can’t-miss show!

Additionally, the band will be hosting the 8th graders on Saturday, September 21 to their practice and the football game for the annual CHS Band Day. It is here that eighth-grade students will have a chance to experience the “behind the scenes” of practice before the game, socializing with the band, playing fight songs in the stands along with the band at the game, and the camaraderie the marching band shares! All eighth-grade band members are encouraged to join the marching band for an amazing afternoon!
