Mayor Dahlia Vertreese announced today the municipality would hold another food giveaway tomorrow for residents. Last week the Hillside administration provide over 250 free food packages and gift cards to families in need of assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The giveaway is from 11:00-1:00 pm at the Hillside Community Center parking lot. Proof of residents is required to receive a package.

“As we continue to deal with the impact of COVID-19, we want to help our residents during these difficult times,” Vertreese said. “Once again, our local businesses are demonstrating their willingness to support the community. Together, we’re going to help families in this time of need.”

Local businesses Union Beverage, Community Food Bank of NJ, Domino’s Pizza, Speedy Mart, Garguilo Produce, and the United Way all contributed to the care packages given away.
