With three weeks until General Election Day, Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon is encouraging voters to open their mail-in ballots as soon as they receive them and to vote early.

It is important to remember that paper provisional ballots cast at polling locations will be counted after all mail-in ballots, according to State law. Therefore, voters are strongly encouraged to complete and return their mail-in ballots to the County Board of Elections as soon as they receive them.

Voters who have misplaced, damaged, or have not yet received their mail-in ballot, and need their ballot reissued are asked to email the County Clerk's Election Office at ClerkOfElections@co.monmouth.nj.us with their name, address, and date of birth. Please note that the County Clerk’s Office continues to mail ballots out to newly registered voters on a rolling basis, so if you are newly registered, your ballot should arrive soon! It is best to email us, rather than call, with this information to expedite the process as we are experiencing unusually high call volume.
