We all want to make a difference, but too many internships focus entirely on research and require students to get lost in the library.  If you want to make a real difference in your community, consider an internship with a Republican political campaign.

We are looking for 25-30 people to work in support of conservative candidates in Somerset County.

The hours are:

Monday-Friday 4pm-8pm
Saturday 10pm-8pm
Sunday 1pm-7pm

We are now accepting applications for work to begin April 16, 2019.  Interns do not need to work every day, but we prefer that they work at least 8-10 hours a week. They will be paid every two weeks at $10 per hour.

Interns will work closely with staff and participate in weekly briefings on the campaign as well as current developments in New Jersey politics. They will learn basic skills that allow them to analyze issues and articulate solutions to the pressing problems of the day. This is a great way to get in on the ground floor of what will be one of the most competitive races in the State.

Though responsibilities vary, most internships will include:

*  Working with the candidates and community organizations to increase visibility and name identification throughout Somerset County by coordinating community events, candidate appearances, phone banks and canvasses.

*  Assisting the campaign with direct voter contact.

*  Volunteer recruitment, training and management.

Interns will have the opportunity to work on a campaign where they learn about public interest issues, gain political knowledge and see how the conservative election process works.  High School and College students may qualify for credit as interns.

We are looking for people to knock on doors, canvass potential voters and make calls from phone banks. Walkers must have a car.  The dress code is a polo shirt with no writing and khaki pants.

We are also looking for two individuals to work full-time as campaign coordinators.

Opportunities for Intern class credit are available as are Paid Positions.
