Are you a local singer wanting to share your love of choral music with a group of like-minded vocalists? Would you like to take part in one of the most beautiful choral pieces ever written?

On Sunday, March 22, during the 10 a.m. worship service, the acclaimed Festival Chorus at First Congregational Church of Westfield will present Mozart’s Requiem. This true masterpiece will be performed by the SATB chorus, featuring a quartet of professional soloists and an instrumental ensemble.

The Festival Chorus welcomes all interested singers, age 16 and over, to participate in this performance. If you have basic music reading ability and the desire to make blessed music while in a fun environment, then this is the choir for you! Weekly rehearsals will begin on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Patton Auditorium at First Congregational Church, 125 Elmer Street, Westfield. Optional Saturday sectional rehearsals will focus on the more challenging portions of the work. The music score and rehearsal tools are available, and there is no charge to participate.
