The South Plainfield Police Athletic League, along with the South Plainfield Recreation Commission, will be choosing the 2019 “Cappy” Award winner. Recommendations for nominations can be made by submitting a letter detailing the qualifications of the candidate.
Once recommendations have been received, two Police Athletic League and/or Recreational peers will have to approve the recommendations for consideration. The requirements for nominations are listed below; the deadline to submit a recommendation is July 12, 2019.
Please send all nominations to the South Plainfield Police Department, 2480 Plainfield Avenue, Attn: Chris Colucci, PAL President, or, directly to the South Plainfield Recreation Department, 1250 Maple Avenue, Attn: Greg Hoffman, Recreation Director.
Service: -10 years or more of service in youth sports and/or recreation -Nominee not served solely as a parent-coach for his/her own children, but each recommendation will be judged on a case by case basis -Preferably voluntary service -During the period of service, nominee must have been a resident of South Plainfield
Character: -Exemplify high moral values and ethical judgment -Never been convicted of a felony -Possess dedication and commitment to the youth of South Plainfield
