Q: What Makes Ike’s Bagel Café Special?
A: We’re not just bagels. Ike’s Bagel Café is a family-owned and-operated business that involves multiple generations. We cater to our customer’s needs and request. We have seating for over 36 people. Ike’s has healthy options, offering egg whites, fresh grilled chicken, salad bar, quinoa, and grilled veggies.
Q: What role do you play for your business?
A: Making sure every all customers leave with smiles on their face.
Q: Why did you decide to have a business or do business in Livingston?
A: We love the town and thought the location would help serve the people.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Livingston?
A: The friendly and engaging people, dining options and shopping that Livingston has to offer.
Q: What made you go into this profession?
A: We love bagels!
Q: Did you go to school for what you do now? If you could do it over, what would you have majored in in college?
A: Yes, business. I would major in the same thing!
Q: What is your favorite part of the work day? Why?
A: When we have a line or when the store is busy, it gives me an adrenaline rush.
Q: What advice would you give to someone starting out in business?
A: Work hard and stay focused.
Q: What are some services that your business offers that people may not be aware of?
A: We offer knish, chopped liver, quinoa, spinach pie, herring in cream sauce, potato latkes, health slaw, turkey meat loaf, fresh turkey, Boars Head products (sold by the pound), flagels, omelets, wraps, Panini’s subs, catering and salad bar.
Q: Who are some of your local clients?
A: Riker Hill and Roseland.
Q: What sets your company apart from others in your industry?
A: Everything is homemade and we use the best products in the industry.
Q: Does your business have a symbol or logo? What does it stand for?
A: Yes a round logo with Ike’s picture in it.
Q: If you could plan how to spend your "ideal Sunday" how would you spend it?
A: Eating a bagel with lox and cream cheese.
