Alfred University Names Joanna Carroll of Scotch Plains, NJ to Dean's List

SCOTCH PLAINS - Joanna Carroll, a resident of Scotch Plains, NJ, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Alfred University. Carroll is a sophomore in the School of an Art and Design. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to qualify for Dean's List.

Carroll is an Art and Design major at Alfred University, which is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top regional universities in the Northeast. The master of fine arts (MFA) ceramics program at Alfred University ranks as one of the top in the nation.

A graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, Carroll is the daughter of Edward Carroll and Nelida Melendez-Carroll.

Alfred University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees through its Colleges of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Professional Studies, as well as through its Schools of Engineering and Art and Design, and Business.
