EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ—Libraries and readers across the country celebrate National Short Story Month each May. The East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) is again hosting a special contest for local writers.

The “73 Words in the 732” short story contest seeks original short stories that contain 73 words or fewer. A panel of library staff will select the best short stories, which will be featured on the library’s website.

Youth, teens, and adults are welcome to participate. Contributors can submit their stories online through the library’s website at www.ebpl.org through May 20.
