UNION, NJ - Here's just a few things that happened in Union's schools this week:

Franklin School PTA had so much fun with the Paint and Punch. Thank you for all that showed up and those who helped make it a great evening. A special thank you to all who came out to our Grandparents/ Special Person Day. The smiles on our scholars faces were priceless.

Connecticut Farms held a celebrated our annual Multicultural Day on Wednesday, January 22. Each classroom chose a country to present, and classes took turns visiting different "countries" around the building. Students prepared presentations about many aspects of their assigned county, such as culture, geography, and food.  Fourth grade student Mackenzie Rodrigues said that she "enjoyed working together with classmates to research the culture of Jamaica.  We learned how to say 'welcome' and 'good morning' and we used this as part of our presentation."  Fourth grade teacher Mary Ellen Patricco said that her students "enjoyed learning about other countries that they may visit someday, and it was great to see them share their knowledge with their peers."
